After half-fixing it last year (which was more of a making sure it didn’t leak after I converted it to 134a ) I finally got around to fully charging and returning the A/C in the RX-7 to service today.
This meant putting the little vacuum-driven thingy to pull the idle up when the compressor was running back onto the carb, installing a vacuum solenoid to make it go at the right time, running some new vacuum lines, and adjusting it. The adjustment needs a little more tweaking now that it’s fully charged.
While not american-car-cold, it’s very good and I was able to go drive around with the windows up on this sunny 90+ degree day in relative comfort.
